Creation Chapter One

The Stars – Excerpt

Ankhhaf, Vizier of all Egypt opened his eyes slowly. The light coming in through his window drapes punished him at first but then his light green eyes slowly adjusted to the brightness, and he took a deep breath of fresh Egyptian morning air. He knew where he was, and he knew who he was, and he knew what he would do next, but strangely he could not remember the night before, or even the day before.

He sat upright and removed the light sleeping covers from his body. He was a young man in physically perfect condition and wore only a light loincloth to sleep in. His young female slave stood silently in the corner and approached to wipe down his bare skin with a wet cloth as he sat on the edge of his elevated bed.

The combination of natural herbal oils and cool water from the cloth was soothing and her touch was soft and gentle arousing him slightly. The young girl noticed the movement in his groin but would act as if she had not and continued the light bathing.

As he sat there enjoying his morning ablutions, he tried to remember the day before or even the day before that but nothing. It was just a strange feeling of emptiness. He knew he had a meeting with his father the Pharoah this morning, so he decided to just concentrate on that for now.
